Katie Gilbert-Spear, JD, OD, MPH, is the owner of the Vision Hub, a multi-location optometry office in the Panhandle of Florida. Dr. Spear is currently a member of the American Optometric Association’s Ethics Committee, the Florida Optometric Association, the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association-Health Law Section, the American Public Health Association-Vision Section, and serves on the Board of Optometry for the state of Florida where she chairs the Probable Cause Panel.Dr. Spear is also a health care attorney and is currently working on cases involving pharmaceutical mass tort litigation, FDA medical device law, medical malpractice and insurance litigation.
